Prevent Turkey Neck

Turkey-neck occurs for three reasons :-

  • Loss of tone and aging in the platysma muscle. This is a thin sheet of muscle that covers the thoat, which keeps the skin tightly drawn into the jaw.
  • The depressor lip muscles atrophy and shrink, distorting the platysma muscle so that it is pulled away from the throat.
  • The skin loses elasticity and sags below the flaccid throat muscle.

Prevent Jowls

Jowls are one of the most problematic and visible consequences of facial aging and occur partly because the flesh covering the sides of the jaw becomes unsupported by the underlying depressor labii muscles of the lips (the muscles that draw the lips downwards). But they also occur because of certain patterns of muscle use in the face.

Prevent Nose To Mouth Lines

The lines from the nostrils to the corners of the mouth tend to deepen as we age. This partly due to the small muscles that lift the top lip and nostrils losing tone so that the flesh of the cheeks folds over the lip muscle.

Highlight Your Cheekbones

Accentuating the cheekbones gives the face that extra bit of appeal. If the cheekbones appear more prominent this also adds contour and shape to the cheeks, giving a more elegant tapered shape to the face.

Prevent Bags & Crows Feet

One of the most common goals of facial exercise is to prevent or reduce bags under the eyes and the untidy wrinkling known as crows feet.

Certain types of faces are prone to bags under the eyes because of the way that particular muscle groups dominate in facial animation.

Perfect Pouting Lips

The muscle surrounding the lips is called the orbicularis oris. This muscle is a circular band of muscle similar to that surrounding the eyes. It allows us to close the lips together and also push them outwards as when pursing the lips to kiss.

Make Your Eyes Sparkle

The eyes are the center of muscle activity in the face and are surrounded by a layer of muscle, the orbicularis occuli that contracts inwards to close and protect them.

Firming The Forehead

The occipitofrontalis or forehead muscle is a thin sheet of muscle lying accross the forehead. This muscle allows us to raise our eyebrows but also supports the muscles around the eyes. The forehead muscle helps to create an elegant arch of the eyebrows preventing drooping of the skin over the eyes.
